Yang Shice's Diary 017

During the noon break, I was woken up by a strange phone call.

To my surprise, the caller was Mr. Pan, a purchasing officer from a client I worked with over 10 years ago. He called today because he saw my video on a certain platform, which explained the flipable instruction manual labels, and he now has a need for them.

There's really so much to talk about with this Mr. Pan. I remember that back then, they were working on telecom products for a European country, which required many different types of self-adhesive labels, all seemingly single black. One of their telecom products had very high requirements for the self-adhesive labels.

At that time, Mr. Pan's end client had to confirm that the self-adhesive labels passed the tests on-site before they felt assured to return home, and only then could the order be placed with us.

So Mr. Pan informed 3 different label printing manufacturers to make samples at the same time, and we were one of them. In the first 3 rounds, all 3 label printers submitted samples, but none of the samples passed all the tests, so we were asked to go back and redo them. At this point, the other 2 manufacturers had given up, but our company, based on the feedback from their client, went back to remake the plates, change the materials, and resubmit the samples. We still didn't get the client's confirmation signature, but we had a clear idea of the direction for improvement. It wasn't until the 6th sample submission that the client signed for confirmation, and we successfully got their big order!

Talking with Mr. Pan about this experience, both of us felt quite emotional. It seemed like we successfully got this big order, but in fact, we also helped Mr. Pan. If we had also given up, it would have been difficult for him to find new suppliers in a short time, mainly due to the tight schedule and the lack of mutual trust. Then Mr. Pan's work would have been in a very passive position. So Mr. Pan said he was grateful for our persistence back then!

What Mr. Pan is looking for me to make today is a type of instruction booklet label without a backing. Because he needs to stick it on toy products, there are requirements for the product's adhesiveness: it must stick firmly, and leave no residue when peeled off.

Our Jinxin Packaging has rich experience in meeting Mr. Pan's product requirements. Over the past few years, the instruction labels we developed for other clients' toy products have been highly recognized by their end clients. As a result, there have been no quality issues with this project in 5 years, and many new products have continued to use the materials we developed.

Jinxin Packaging specializes in instruction labels, booklet labels, flipable instruction labels, and multi-layer self-adhesive labels. If you have unsatisfactory instruction labels, you can try a small order with me!
